Topic: Keys to Supernatural recovery 2

Text: 1 Samuel 30:1-8
“And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.

So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.And David’s two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. AND DAVID ENQUIRED AT THE LORD, SAYING, SHALL I PURSUE AFTER THIS TROOP? SHALL I OVERTAKE THEM? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”

Greetings to you in Jesus mighty name. This is another day that the Lord has made and we rejoice and are glad in it.

Yesterday, we started this series on “keys to supernatural recovery”. We studied the first key which is to encourage yourself in the Lord your God.

Today, we will look at the second key
2. He Enquired at the Lord.
To experience supernatural recovery, you must always go to God in prayers. You are not going to God in prayers of petition or supplication but you are going to God in prayers of enquiry.

Prayers of enquiry are prayers seeking for divine direction, guidance, leading and wisdom. The secret to sweet less victory and success is actually prayers of enquiry. A Wise prayer once said ” Only babies pray ‘Lord give me, give me.’ ‘Mature people pray ‘Lord show me the way or what must I do next Lord.”

If you want to Supernaturally recover all that you lost or was stolen from you then you must enquire from the Lord. This is necessary because you are limited and can not determine the future but God knows the end from the beginning. It is therefore pride to venture out into a task or assignment without asking the Lord.

Look at that text again, the Bible said “and David enquired at the Lord…” This was the secret of their recovery. I want to ask what have you enquired from God lately?

To depend on your wisdom and expertise alone is an exercise in futility.

The prayer of enquiry is the most powerful prayer you will ever pray to experience a breakthrough. To experience unending breakthroughs, ‘enquiry’ has to be sandwiched in all your prayers.

The prayer of enquiry is simply the prayer of questions and answers. The purpose of any enquiry is to get an answer or direction or else it is invalid. Therefore, the prayer of enquiry is that which provokes the delivery of your miracles, breakthrough, and recovery.

How do you enquire?
1. Go to God knowing that you are inadequate and need his help
2. Come worshipping
3. Ask questions about the issue without any conclusion in your heart on the matter.
4. Keep asking in prayers
5. Go about your task listening to God in your spirit for his direction.

I pray for you today that
1. As you pray, God will give you definite answers in every area of your life in Jesus name!

2. God will lead you to your Supernatural recovery in Jesus name!

3. Your life will not be wasted in Jesus name!
