Topic: Living daily in the peace of God

Text: John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
 

Praise be to God who always causes us to triumph, this is our confidence and assurance that our God is always with us. As children of God, this is our reality daily. We bask in the knowledge that our God is always with us and this knowledge gives us peace always. 
You must also know that everything does not have to be perfect for you to enjoy the peace of God, it is possible even in the face of discouragement, confusion, pain to live in the peace of Jesus. 

The bible refers to Jesus as the Prince of Peace. The peace of God is powerful enough to keep you in perfect peace regardless of how much the world around you tries to take it from you.

The apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:6 “not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

You must know that for you to live in the peace of God we have to stop worrying. Worry chokes peace and joy out of our lives. The peace of God takes away worry not because they don’t exist but because we know that our God is with us and that knowledge becomes our confidence and that confidence is expressed in our spirit as peace. To experience victory over the issues of life, you must let the peace of God guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Next time you are in the midst of a crisis or consumed by worry, ask yourself this question: Do I want to try to solve everything myself and control my life, or do I want the peace of God? Many times we lose our peace because we refuse to allow God to take control in times of trouble. 

The peace of God consumes fear because when God takes control of a situation, that situation begins to respond to the voice of God and we know that God’s word which is yea and amen has been released to him. 

To access the peace of God, you must surrender to him completely. As you practice this every day in your life, you will experience the amazing peace of God and grace will be released to help you navigate through life’s troubles.
