Topic: Intercessory Prayer: Vitality for a speedy recovery.

Text: Job 22:10 (NIV)
“After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.”

Intercessory prayer is an intentional act of standing in a gap praying on behalf of others leaving your own issues beside you at the moment.

Standing in a gap for others in prayer is one of our strongest weapons of war fair which the devil cannot understand. He expected you to be praying all day for yourself, only to hear you leaving your own issues and interceding for others

The devil intentionally and strategically attacked Job for a very long time, I believe he prayed earnestly for himself over and over yet it was as if there would never be an end to his struggles but thank God for his understanding; he turned the prayer the other way round by praying for his friends and immediately God turned his own story around.

Praying for others draws God’s intervention to your direction for a turnaround.

Suspend your problems for a while and pray for others such as:
1. The kingdom
a. The Lead Pastor, the team of Pastors, HODs, departments, and ministries, etc
b. The success of all services for God’s presence, testimonies and attendance, etc

2. Pray for your relations, love once, and the needy around you.

Praying for others is fulfilling God’s need for his people.
God said in Ezekiel 22:30…I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Be the one that God will find standing in a gap for others irrespective of your own issues and God will surely restore you and you will testify!!!
